Kosmic Address Presencing (KAP) is a new, experimental wellness practice designed to help an individual to gain an embodied, somatic connection to a comprehensive array of Stations of Consciousness, including multiple Types and Zones at each of nine distinct Person Perspectives in Lingua-U.
Welcome to the new @JoePerezAuthor Twitter profile. (If you’re not reading this on Twitter, then visit https://twitter.com/joeperezauthor/ and please follow me. It’s pinned to the top of my Twitter feed, and you can also find it on my blog.)
I’d like to give you a quick orientation to one of the new features of my public writing: nearly daily glimpses at the Lingua-U Lexicon, complete with Kosmic Address and photographic illustrations scoured from the Web. These posts aren’t intended to be merely decorative, nor are they merely useful for learning the new unitive metalanguage. They are intended to give you an opportunity to practice feeling into the world from a new place and building new structures in awareness for living your life with awareness (or engaging in your Integral Life Practice).
Here’s an example, using my tweet from earlier this morning:
— Joe Perez (@joeperezauthor) September 8, 2017
Let’s walk through it step by step. There are six key parts to this one tweet:
- The Lingua-U metaword: 𝍀⚌
- The Lexicon word for this Station: “Network”
- The old calendar date: 9/9
- The date on the new Kalendar: Blue Castle 19
- The Kosmic Address, using AQAL: The Outside View of Yang at Collective Subjective 7th-Person-Pers.
- The hashtags (these vary from post to post to make it more discoverable)
Some of this won’t make sense until my future book Lingua-U: The Unitive Metalanguage comes out. But it’s fun and relevant and useful if we talk about some of it now, since you can access my Twitter feed right away.
I suggest that we use a neologism to describe a new Integral Life Practice. Let’s call this “KAPping”, for Kosmic Address Presencing. Essentially our intent in the KAPping practice is to begin to build our flexibility and intuitive ability for imaginatively locating ourselves in a new Kosmic Address. “Fake it until you make it.” You must imagine yourself at a given location before you can step there intentionally. If you follow my Twitter feed every day to find the KAP post, you can use it to help you stretch yourself to prepare the way for the Languages of the Divine, to use Ken Wilber’s phrase.
Ken Wilber writing in The Religion of Tomorrow:
Languages of the Divine
Integral Semiotics is about recognizing that every thing or event (every referent) has a Kosmic Address — it exists in some particular worldspace somewhere in the AQAL Matrix — and that if you want to be able to see that real thing or event (the real referent), you have to put yourself in the same vicinity as the Kosmic Address of the event you want to see or experience; your Kosmic Address must generally align with the Kosmic Address of the thing you want to experience, or it won’t happen. Thus, if you want to know if ‘God as the formless Ground of all Being’ really exists, you have to orient yourself in the Upper Left quadrant, take up a practice that moves your state center of gravity from gross to subtle to causal, and then, using a 1st-person perspective in that causal state in the Upper Left quadrant, look.
So now you can look at the tweet as an injunction to orient yourself to a particular Kosmic Address and look. And if you use Lingua-U as a guide, the tweet will tell you a thing or two to look for.
Start with the Kosmic Address listed in the Tweet and imagine yourself there. In today’s example, imagine yourself as having a Yang type and looking at the Lower-Left Quadrant (the Collective Subjective). Now put yourself in the “outside of the collective interiors”, that Address usually called Zone 4. (Zone 4 is linked to ethnomethodology, “a method of sociological analysis that examines how individuals use everyday conversation and gestures to construct a common-sense view of the world”.) Now step up or down or sideways imaginatively from your present altitude to the Violet altitude (or meta-mind), which is where the 7th-person perspective is aligned in the Lingua-U Map. Dustin DePerna quotes Aurobindo to describe metamind: “Intuition [meta-mind] sees the truth of things by a direct inner contact, not like the ordinary mental intelligence by seeking and reaching out for indirect contacts through the senses. (Aurobindo, 1985, p. 983)”
Thus what you are looking at in this case is the meta-mind of an evolved culture which uses conversation and gestures to create a worldview that sees things the way they are to consciousness itself, perceived not merely through sensual inferences but through ‘inner knowing’. Does an evolved culture like this exist currently? If so, where? Imagine yourself there. If not, imagine yourself as possessing a yang type of personality so you are initiative and active and penetrative. What steps concretely could you do to step into and co-create one such culture?
This is the essential injunction corresponding to the tweet, but there is more. It is linked to September 9 in the calendar, so anytime you want to revisit this practice you can turn your memory to this date to recall your injunction within the chronological context of your life. Let your practice be grounded by the visual and audible and olfactory cues of late summer in the North or late winter in the South. Use time itself to help you anchor any useful information you may have gained from your looking.
Once you have been doing this thing for a while, you might notice that the calendar months and days aren’t as useful as the new Kalendar model for helping you to ground your newfound awareness. The new Kalendar is designed to correspond precisely to the Lingua-U Map and (to a significant extent) the Kosmic Addresses of AQAL, and to make it easy to investigate iterative patterns by aligning one’s self to the subtleties of seasonal patterns. So try remembering your practice using the Kalendar date: Blue Castle 19.
Finally, you can use the Lingua-U metaword of 𝍀⚌ (pronounced as Yung, Yang, Yin, Yin, Yang, Yang) and the Lexicon correspondence of Network to help you to anchor your experience of looking at a particular Kosmic Address. What is it about the word Network that can help you to imagine the LL of metamind? The Lingua-U Lexicon has been designed to allow the kinesthetics of speech production — in particular, the methods of articulating phonetic features of sounds of words themselves — to help us to relate elusive subtle energy patterns to more concrete concepts that have been linked in our languages to the energies themselves.
To pronounce an “n” for Network, your lips must be parted and your jaw must drop slightly for a sound which is phonetically identical to the “p” sound except that the nasal cavity is open. Think of the way that the letter P means Positive and is effectuated with a closed nasal cavity, but the letter N means Negative and is effectuated with an open nasal cavity. How does N, the Letter of Negativity in Lingua-U, pass negative charge through the word Network? Hint: look at the Yin, Yin at the center of the metaword’s subtle energy signature.
If you can find something useful in the energy marks or the word Network, then what you are experiencing is not an ordinary sort of cognition. It is in fact, I believe, a drop of meta-mind cognition itself, a leap of intuition based on the subtle properties of language interpreted transrationally. When you step into the “network” on Blue Castle 19, you are entering imaginatively into one of the Kosmic Addresses most closely linked to this practice itself, an important step in imagining a future Integral Gigaglossary. Before our spirituality can become as comprehensive as possible, we must attach signposts or symbols to the full spectrum of potential Kosmic Addresses, and the Lingua-U Lexicon gives us a valuable way of starting to do so.
Don’t forget to RETWEET as well as follow @joeperezauthor on Twitter to help increase use of KAPping as an Integral Practice. You can also use the hashtag #kapping when you do your own version of this practice using Lingua-U or a GigaGlossary yet to come.
